Vintage Staffordshire Porcelain Pitcher with Griffin Handle

Description

I believe that this could be porcelain Staffordshire pitcher circa 1830-1880's. My grandmother just recently gave this to me that she got from her mother (my great grandmother). Beyond my great grandmother I am unsure of the history behind it. It has a beautiful handle that was made into a mythical creature - the Griffin. It has claw feet and a beautiful lions head for the spout. This pitcher is cream with beige flowers and gilding throughout the pitcher. I believe a maker's marking can be located on the base of the pitcher. It looks to be an "R" was signed in gold on the bottom. It measurements are 9" H x 9" W x 3" D.
