Description Old oil painting titled the Parrot cage in antique frame. The original artist is Jan Steen (Dutch) The painting is very dirty. I bought it from a Lady in her 70's who claimed it was her Grandmothers originally. The Parrot Cage Oil on canvas Monogrammed and dated lower right with the initials G.WEG 46. The canvas is very thin. I would really love to know how old the frame is as well, it is in need of repair and appears to be plaster. I would really like to know something about the artist and if the oil has any value.
