Pieces marked "made in Japan" tend to postdate the mid 1920's. Meito China looks similar to china made by Noritake. It was made by Nagoya Seito, a company founded in 1911 by Kotero Asukai, who had worked at Noritake. The company is still in business, now operating as Narumi. Values for such set current are very modest, sets of Meito with place settings 6-10 are selling for under $250.00
