Description

Pulpit found in the basement of the Danforth Inn, in Portland Maine. I do not know when it was made but I can tell you it is roughly 80lbs. The adjustable top has a peg hole to stick a small wooden peg in to. The wood has been stained, I would have thought it to be pine if it didn't weigh so much!

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

History Looks like it came from the: Maine Irish Heritage Center (formerly St. Dominic's Catholic Church). Again, my best guess based on location, age, and Celtic design... It would also explain why it isn't still inside of a church.
