Singer Sewing Machine

By bethcollette, 11 September, 2019
Description

I recently inherited a singer sewing machine, which I can’t keep because it’s awfully heavy and difficult to move and I’ll be leaving the state soon but it’s a beautiful piece of furniture and would hate to simply donate it. I had little luck identifying it by its serial number (E724893) and it’s got some noticeable wear, including missing handles and wood chips. It’s also fairly dusty, inside the drawer there’s buttons and thread and even an old matchbook that teaches you proper English. Unsure if the sewing machine works (it’s a manual turn handle) but I don’t know how to sew so I cannot tell. I’m looking for a rough estimate to the year it was created, possibly where it originated and the asking price for this model since there’s a wide variety that all have different dollar amounts. Thank you!
