The graduated pearls of creamy colour, supporting a pendant, set at the centre with a fancy baguette diamond, within a bombe frame pave-set with brilliants & at random circular mixed-cut emeralds.
DateCirca 1980 These appear to be seawater cultured pearls, which are more valuable and have a better lustre than freshwater cultured pearls. Auction value: $2,000.00 - $3,000.00 History:This real item was a wedding present from my grandmother. It has been reviewed by Truval but their offer wasnt satisfactory. I'am looking for someone who apreciate the item for it's intrinsic value. The origin is still a mistery. By taking several pictures I manage to determine the italian origin of at least part of the item. The clasp was made in Arezzo, Italy by a Nuova Jolly jewl, and it was confirmed by them. http://www.nuovajollyoreficerie.com/home.asp?lg=enI arrived at them by looking at the hallmark written on the clasp. I sent an email to a jewerly manufacterer called Arezzo and they replied with the following email. The hallmark 140 AR is from Arezzo The Hallmark belongs to Nuova Jolly Orefice in Arezzo Italy However that mark is for the lock only as they are gold manufacture, like gold locks, chains, crosses. the pearls and the emerald and diamond pendant is not from them. Hope to have helped Michael Spilotro Arezzo Jewelers www.arezzojewelers.com Then I wrote the orefecerie in Itally and they confirmed the information with the following email: Good evening, looking at the pictures we could say that we only manufactured the gold clasp of the pearl necklace. This clasp is in gold 18kt as the hallmark 750 say. You should look for others hallmark (stamp) on the pendant to understand who manufactured this jewel. Best regardsGiuseppeI asked fot the year of manufacte and they replied:Hi,our factory began to produce this kind of clasp in the ‘80 until today. Can’t know when was manufactured.Best regardsGiuseppe I tried to look for hallmarks on the pendant but it has been an impossible enterprise, it appears that the hallmark was scratched for unknown reasons. Please take a closer look at the pendant and all other elements to verify the information. That's all the information I have managed to gather. About 42 units.- Pendant: misterious origins, probably scratched signature, might be 18k gold, 52 accent diamonds. Around 18 litle emeralds. 1 central emerald shaped diamond.
