This piece is a primitive water filtration system brought to the US from a palace in Malaysia. The stand is solid wood and looks like old woodwork. The water is poured into the top hollowed-out rock and it drips through to the hole in the middle and further on to the carved rock jug in the bottom. It stands about 6 feet tall. The wooden top piece and the two pieces of plexiglass have been added for esthetics, otherwise everything else you see is original. I bought it from the estate sale of an Exxon lawyer who was working in Malaysia and brought it back. I don't know the age, although I believe it is very old, nor the value of it. If anyone can help me figure anything out about this piece, I would much appreciate it. It sits in my living like a piece of furniture right now. Thanks!
