1895 Remington Lee Navy Bayonet

Appraisal complete
Description

This bayonet seems to be identical to the US Navy issued 1895 Lee Remington straight pull bayonet. The only difference is the markings. While most of the examples I've seen are marked "Remington Arms Company" in the blood grove and have a serial number on the pommel, mine does not. Also, the triangular marking at the base of the blade has what appears to be an "L" or a "T" inside of it in contrast to the "W" which I have seen. I saw one listing with a similar knife that stated that it was a "rare experimental" version of the knife. My intuition was that this was some sort of prototype, so that seems to makes sense to me. Does anyone here have any expertise in this area? Thanks!!

Wow! Those are great resources. Thanks! Do you have any idea what something like this would be worth in its current condition?

The last link I provided showed one that sold for $695. A sold search on eBay might have something. I’m not a member or Worthpoint.com but I think they have some. If I see anymore good info I’ll add to this. Lots of info here https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/u-s-m1895-lee-navy-bayonet-scabbard-remington
