Round extending dining room table, by Lentz

Description

This is a medium-dark round pedestal table (about 48") with three leaves (about 9" each) that extends to about 75". The table slides open without need of moving the pedestal(s), since it has a single base. The table was manufactured by the Lentz Table Co. of Nashville, Mich., and sold by Lachman Bros of San Francisco. From what I can tell, Lentz may have close in the early '50s, and Lachman closed in the '70s. It's a beautiful table, but is in need of refinishing.

Lentz Table Co. operated 1867-1946 and they manufactured occasional and extension tables in 18th Century styles. the company was purchased in 1943 by Plycoma Veneer Co. This one dates from the 1920's and is patterned after the William & Mary style furniture made in the early 1700's.
