Research hasn’t led to any viable similarities to other photography by William Notman in this particular setting aside from an empty assembly hall.
A proprietor within the NY Congress hall has viewed the image and given background on works from Notman Photo, Co. stating that exact date of photograph could potentially be determined through research of all individuals in photograph to determine historical significance. Proprietor confirmed photo was of original General Assembly Hall, with certain artifacts having been moved into the newest location and preserved.
Includes photo of packing paper housing where photograph description is stated. Measurements were completed by hand.
