A half sovereign vesta case with hallmark (think its 1894 or 1897). Weighs 36.4 grams. Engraved first side "A SLIGHT RECOGNITION FROM MR & MRS R LONG OF A KINDLY ACT" and on the other side "W TAVERNER M.R.C.V.S NEWTON ABBOT"
Fitted in original lined case marked MALLET GOLDSMITH BATH
