Wooden High chair

Hi, does your chair have any markings underneath it? I would look under the bottom of the seat, back of the chair, or perhaps on the legs for any markings.

The term "Press back" refers to "carved" top rail, which was actually pressed into ther wood under high pressure via a steam press. They rode the crest of popularity again in the 1980's along with the trend of Victorian decorating that lasted until the 1990's. Values for them since that time have declined drastically, Victorian decorartive items and furniture no longer being in vogue.
