I have a Basilosaurus (Whale) lumbar vertebrae that was found in my great grandparents land/creek when my father was a child. My great grandparents found this vertebra in a creek located in Mississippi. I don't know much about it other than what I can remember my grandmother telling me from when I was a child. Size is around 12.5x8.5in

Basilosaurus is a genus of large, predatory, prehistoric archaeocete whale from the late Eocene, approximately 41.3 to 33.9 million years ago. First described in 1834, it was the first archaeocete and prehistoric whale known to science
