Description
I'm not actually sure if this falls into the correct category, I simply chose antiques as the brass rubbings have been passed down to me through a couple generations.
I'm uploading a picture of the one; it is a matching set of 2, equal in size an style of design.
Just curious to learn more about them and perhaps their age, as I haven't got the story behind how they came to be passed along to me.
The one I'm postings is of a very tall, slim nun, hands together in prayer, standing upon what appears to be some sort of ornate lion or mythological creature.
If anyone can share info/insight into when/where this design came from (i have to assume Great Britain?), I can post a picture of the other one.
That one is of a knight in full armour, very similar, though I believe rather than prayer hands, he holds a sword by the hilt, pointed down. He stands upon a unicorn, if I recall correctly. It comes out of storage tomorrow, so I figured I'd look into them a bit more.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated !

Delicate, thin black paper, with the image an old-English style nun in brass. I'm not familiar with the art style, and had to look into what it was when they were passed to me. It is encased in a gold-coloured frame (the frame is in terrible shape, I'll certainly need to be finding new frames for them both)
Distinguishing marks
Unfortunately, nothing I can detect. The slight ruching at the top I believe is accidental exposure to humidity. They are incredibly delicate. To have fit in the frame and not be punctured, the rubbing has been placed on a backboard, which just has the stamp of "Hi-Art Artist", which I discovered is simply a supply company for such needs. Perhaps there is a signature on the back of the paper itself, but I'm too worried about damaging it to remove anything.

Passed along through a couple of generations. As a twin set (a knight and a nun), I don't know how long they've been in my family, or when they were created. Incredibly delicate, and very intricate - the images are very somber, almost haunting, but fascinated me and I would love some opinions or thoughts!
