1940s Silex Vacuum pot

Description

I bought this at an estate sale in Illinois from who I believe was the original owner. I don’t believe it’s been used and it looks as if all the original parts are included. The box says 1940 but the purchase date was 10/26/43.

In 1943 Ms. Charlotte from Downers Grove Illinois used her employee discount to purchase this vacuum pot for $4.94. She was working at the Western United gas and Electric company which eventually became Com Ed.
