Is it possible that the metal is sterling silver? Charles and George Fox were silversmiths. Check carefully for hallmarks, a little polishing will help reveal them if they are there. Here are what they should look like: https://www.silvercollection.it/ENGLAFOX.html

Thank you for updating the photos with the hallmarks. I'm not finding any comparables for a porcelain and sterling silver Charles & George Fox inkwell. Best to take it to a reputable dealer for more information. Give it a polish, it'll be lovely!
