Hemredon
This is a nice piece of furniture. It went for retail for the $1000's in the 1980' or 90's.
Unfortunately, brown furniture has tanked in price.
Even original Chippendale has gone from $150,000 to $25,000. It kills me.
French Provincial furniture…
French Provincial furniture has wide swings in value, seemingly coming in and out of fashion about every 30 years since the late 1800's. Currently though it's on a down trend, value dependant on local demand, I've seen this same piece go at auction sell for $150.00- 1500.00, and also not able to hit a reserve of $400.00
Henredon dresser
I did find a closed auction price of $550 in 2016, the most recent I could find. I agree with another contributor here, "brown furniture" really doesn't bring much these days unless it's mid century modern in style. I guess the younger generation doesn't want what they grew up with. Of course, mid century modern is what I grew up with and I didn't want it in my first home. Hang on to it. It's a classic style, was very expensive when newly purchased and Henredon is a quality maker.
