Your oak roll top desk could bring $275-300 at auction. More if you have any provenance that it was used by the Southern Pacific Railroad. Railroad collectors demand records.

Roll top desks went through a huge increase in value during the 1980s to early 1990s. Since then values have decreased substantially. As Silent Gal has stated quite often they sell for $400 at auction. A lot depends on their condition in the local market demand.
