Andy Warhol '100 Cans" Poster Signed by Andy Warhol

This is truly signed by Andy Warhol which he very rarely did on his “100 Cans”. Here’s the provenance: My cousin Henry Geldzahler, who was curator of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. He was also a very close friend of Warhol. One day my aunt (his mother) called me and said “Andy is going to be in town (Los Angeles) at the opening of the “Famous Amos” cookie store in Hollywood. If you want to meet him you should go there.” I jumped at the opportunity and picked up a “100 Cans” poster in Westwood. After going to the Famous Amos opening, I stood in line with the poster to have Andy sign it. When I got up to Andy he told me he doesn’t sign those kind of things. I told him, my cousin Henry told me to come here to meet you. After saying that he said, “Okay, I’ll make an exception” so he signed it for me. I still have that poster, framed and with his original signature on it from that day.
