Meissen Porcelain, Germany. A lidded urn / covered vase with handles,finely hand-painted with fête galante and pastoral scenes in the 18th-century Rococo Louis XVI style, featuring hand-painted pastoral scenes of villagers and scattered floral spray. Enriched with gilt bronze–style mounts to the handles, rim, and pedestal foot.The lid surmounted by a modeled cherub (putto) finial, a characteristic Meissen motif.

Marked to the underside with the underglaze blue crossed swords of Meissen Porcelain, hand-painted, confirming authentic factory production.The single dot between the sword hilts is a recognized factory control mark, consistent with 19th-century Meissen manufacture.

The M-series, including M 187, is associated with ornate19th-century Meissen forms incorporating figural elements and the presence of this number confirms the piece as a specific, documented Meissen model.

Condition Report: Minor chip in cherub’s left hand. Localized discoloration to the brass mounts consistent with age. One brass handle very slightly bent. Otherwise in very good condition.
