Description

Goebel, St. Anthony holding Infant, 12 1/2 inches tall, Bottom has incised TMK-1 Crown Mark stamped "US Zone Germany". Bottom also has faint incised "HE" and "4". Back of base is incised "F WINKLER" possibly sculptor Fritz Winkler. Based on TMK-1 and US Zone Germany this piece dates to 1946-1948. In my online searches I have not found a Goebel St. Anthony this tall. There are others, but those are about 9" tall and have a dark brown robe. Condition is excellent, no chips, no cracks, no crazing, no paint loss.
