Based on what I can see of your images, this is not Georgian or even English. It appears to be a late 19th Century Chinese Export piece. The elaborate carvings of the dragon motif was also used on similar tables and chairs. The tables and chairs are more plentiful than the chess tables, but in our opinion you payed way over the market value for your piece in 1981.Similar examples to day sell for less than $2000.00.
