Tiffany and Co. Chalice

The Chalice has an etched rim of some kind of flower and leaf pattern. The base has 6 lines/circles around it. It has no scratches and doesn't appear to have ever been used. The bottom is marked Tiffany & co makers 13171 18 Kt. gold and has an m at the bottom that looks like a greek letter. Above the stamp is a small number 601 that looks like it was etched into the gold by hand. It is a very reflective yellow gold.

History It has been engraved 1863 December 5th 1913. I am not sure what that means or who it was for. I am assuming it belonged to one of the Higginsons or Sargeants of Boston, Mass.
