Fainting Couch

Description I recently saw a similar piece at a Bed and Breakfast in Hannibal, Mo, said to be early 1900's or older. Supposedly made my craftsmen in St. Louis area. It has been reupholstered prior to my purchase. Looks like new with no wear.

This lounge is actually Victorian, circa 1880 and is in the Eastlake style. The earlier ones were made of walnut, the later variants made in the 1890's tended to be made out of oak, elm and basswood. Value wise $200.00- $400.00 at auction.

Lovejoy
