Morris Chair made by W.H. Gunlocke

Description

I'm not familiar with Morris chairs and need a little help identifying the specifics of the chair and the worth of the chair as it is now and what it could be if I was to professionally restore it.  This chair has the back recliner release in the right hand arm rest (not working).  I bought it from a young lady who claims it was passed on to her by her aunt who bought it 30 years ago from an antique dealer that she worked for at the time. I liked the look and wanted to refinish it to a look that will fit a room I'm redecorating but thought I would check to make sure I was not making a cardinal sin. I figured this chair is probably not unique am I wrong?  thank you for your help.
