I have a soup terrine or plater that shows at the bottom Kohn Maddock and Sons, Royal vitreous and in the middle of the crown it says England. I would like to know more about it. It belonged to my grandmother

Hi there I have a plate oval one with markings John Maddock & sons Ltd England Royal Vitreous and there's a broad arrow with some other markings that seems to be an L and  12? I was wondering how old is and If is from Royal navy or army.thanks
