mowing machine

By mnmdaugherty, 9 November, 2008
Description

This is a mowing machine that would be pulled behind a horse.  It belongs to my grandfather so I don't have a great discription at the time.  He is in his 80's and has had this since he was in his 30's.  He is looking to sell it but isn't sure what it is worth.  Just general value is all he is looking for.

Re: mowing machine

That machine is not designed to be pulled by a horse. It is a sickle bar mower and is pulled by a tractor and connected to a power take-off to operate the sickle. Some folks collect just the seat. Some decorate with wheels. At country auction these usually sell cheap due to moving difficulty. Under $100
