Distinguishing marks
Orion China. Made in Japan. Has a name but I can't make it out.
Actually no, "Made in Japan" marks can predate World War Two and were used as early as the 1920's. Trading ceased with Japan during the war, most pieces made after the war were marked "Occupied Japan" until 1952 . Orion was still in business after the war, but like most Japanese makers, their output is very modestly priced, little decorative pieces like this sell for under $20.00.
