Antique carved chair designed after the Roman curule chair or the 15th century Dante chair.

Description It was purchased by my fiancee's father on the late 30' early 40' from an English woman that lives upstair on his father's home. My fiancee inherit the chair, but don't know much about it just that was bought from a tenant by his father.  The original leather on the chair was all dried out, so he had it re-upolsterd. I think the chair is just beutiful but we don't know much about it.  Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
