Stained Glass Screen by Mike Cahallan

Description

Almost jewel-like, this stained glass screen was done by Mike Cahallan (not sure if the spelling of his last name is correct) for his mother. He was commissioned to do the stained glas at the aquarium in Santa Cruz, California. Some of his stained glass went for thousands of dollars. He did many pieces, both erotic and non-erotic, in San Francisco and many for some of the Gay bars there. Orphan Andy's coffee shop at 17th Street off of Castro Street has many of his stained glass lamps hanging there now. What was unique about his work was the incredible detail.

Screen measures in total: 30" high (The middle piece) and 41" wide.  I took these photos of the back of the screen in daylight but in better light, what appears as clear glass actually has various colored hues to them. The last two pics taken from outside and through the window gives abetter idea as to the striking hues and texture of the glass that show better when late afternoon and evening begins with light behind the screen. The small round pieces of glass are raised and not flat too. Just beautiful. I'm looking for any info about the value. Cahallan did his work from 1978 until his death in 1988.
