April 10, 1875 Harpers Bazar Magazine Vol. VIII No. 15

Appraisal complete
Description This is a Harpers Bazar magazine dated April 10, 1875. The front cover features a drawing of two women wearing the newest fashion to that time, the Joan of Arc Basque with Apron overskirt. The interior features patterns and designs for chairs and dresses, Buisness advertisements, memiors, and obituaries aka-personals. The back features cartoons, commenmorating important events of that era. The magazine itself is in fair shape. It was found folded in half and I have been able to salvage it and I keep it framed open. The edges are a little rough, but all the pages turn just fine there seems to be no water damage to the item.

Not much value for it as a magazine, these are usually broken up, the ads and images removed and framed to be sold as separate items, thereby increasing profit. Early harpers often sell for under $30.00 at auction. Lovejoy
