unique round oak table

Description my grandfather was a general contractor, who saw this table on the porch of a house of one of the men who worked for him. it had a bucket on it to catch water in. My grandfather paid him $25.00 for it. It was black with many years of stciky wax on it, so my mother had the wax stripped off about thirty years ago and the refinisher said he had never seen a table like it. He said it was made from golden oak, but he didn't know anything else. The table was bought in the Asheville, NC area. The horse heads on the legs have faceted "gems" for eyes. I do not know if they are gems or glass, but doubt they are plastic, due to the age of the piece.
