This chair has been passed down in my family for many decades now. Ive been told it was from the late 1870's. Other than that there is not much information on it. I always get offers on it from visitors.

this was the only one arm chair reference I could find on line.
As for your chair....the casters suggest a date of 1720-1760 as they are wood held in place by iron. That would make the chair Georgian. But of course the casters could have been replaced or simply changed as the later iron wheels cause rust problems for rugs.
Yes, I believe that was a link to a couple of years ago when I tried to find out some info on it. That was my posting. It's strange that I cant find any other chair like this online. When I googled one arm chair my old posting came up from that forum. Im dying to know more about it.
I wondered when I read that if it might possibly be yours lol. you might try the library and see what they have for reference books . I have to say I am a bit disapointed myself I haven't gotten a single comment on my aprasial request yet.
I think that if you ever get an op. at the antiques road show that would be a really interesting piece to take. I think given how long you have been looking for info and come up empty they might find it interesting.
Also might be worth a try to write to Southerby's or Kovels and include a pic. they might be interested enough to respond without the apraisal fee if it is as rear as it seems
good luck to you
