Antique Wheelchair

Description This wheelchair has an all-steel painted frame and rims. The only wood parts are seat, seatback, armrests, and footrest. There is active rust on most of the painted steel surfaces, but nothing is rusted-through. The large wheels are 23 3/4" outside diameter. The seat and seatback appear to by plywood, but could be solid wood with a veneer on each side. The "veneer" is peeling loose in several places around the edges. The seat and seatback also look like they could be replacements based on the newer-looking screws used to attach them. The armrests and footrest are solid wood and appear to be original. The wheelchair is very sturdy and appears to be complete and functional, just needs some lubrication especially on the swivel mechanism for the small rear wheels. The 5th picture shows the underside of the foot rest showing the wear on the rubber/steel pads from accidental scraping on sidewalks, etc. The foot rest does not drag on level ground. The wheelchair does fold down to approx 37" long x 24" high x 26" wide, a more compact size for transporting/storing.
