Fireplace surround is solid cast iron. Sides are bolted on. Fireplace has columns with channels, columns are sitting on blocks with etching. Top of columns looked carved with etching. Colors in columns and fireplace are all earthtone colors: orange, rust, cream, browns, beige. Front (top) of fireplace has etching with a border (of same colors mentioned above) around opening looks like small, 2 1/2"x 1" tiles, etching all around opening with a wood looking molding and braided trim. Opening is 20 1/2" x 28". Fireplace surrond is about 12" deep. This surrond is absolutely beautiful. I have never seen anything like it. Mantle is solid granite greyish/green in color.
I would like to know more about it's origin and how many are like it (if any).
