Description A round vase with six Mums, white, yellow and maroon sitting on a table with geological drawings, curtain in the background. Bold strokes; Van Goughish. I think he was a (surveyor?) in the Oil industry. Painted where-ever he went. That is why you see lots of landscapes. I have googled all I can, and his style is impressionistic, but changes so dramatically, that it is hard to realize it is from the same artist. I know it is the original frame because the title of the painting, and where it was bought or framed is on the back. It is a minimalistic frame with a border of flowers, stained brown and rubbed with gold relief. The frame is in good condition, but some of the stain and gold has rubbed off. I think this painting is really special. I know his works go for $2000+, but I would like to know some history, what it is worth and who do I contact if I want to auction it?
