Description beautifull desk,very deep(3ft)made by the jasper office furniture company out of indiana. the left side drawers are fake, there actualy one big door and behind the door is a large heavy duty shelf that slides out and is supported by a very strong looking mechanism. there are no broken pieces, just a couple of bumps and bruises, needs to be cleaned up and possibly refinished.

Weight very very heavy hard for 2 big men to lift let alone move
History as far as i know, my grandmother bought the desk when she was young(she is currently 89) weather she bought it new or used im not sure

I also have a desk ALMOST identical to this. Mine was made by Wood Office Institute-can't find out much about them. Did you know the shelf on the left raises? It is actually a type writer shelf. If you pull out and up it will raise- mine locks in place with a latch to the cabinet door.
