Guatemalan Rug with Quetzal

Description This rug is stiff, low pile and probably not an antique. I know my grandmother visited Belize and Guatemala in the late 1960's and she likely picked this up during that trip. I know nothing about this, other than the Quetzal bird on the stand is usually a symbol used in Mayan-area cultures. The rug was also stored with a Huipil bag, if that helps anyone.
