Tables of this type generally date from the second quarter of the 20th Century, but remained in and out of production following the dictates of fashion for the next 50 years. The style is what's referred to as the 'Federal Revival style'. The style getting its name because such pieces used stylist motifs found on American Colonial furniture originally made 1620-1780. Mersman was at one point the largest maker of tables in the USA, producing millions of them. Value, about $200.00 for the pair at auction. Lovejoy
