Description this is a whistle that is a crowned lion and has 4 bells attached to the feet and one to the neck. there is a lion face piece in the middle of the chain and bells attached to the chain as well. It was presented to my mom as a nannies whistle from France but I found an article describing it as a Spanish amulet. The article is by WL Hildburgh and was published in a magazine called folklore volume 24 in 1913. I will include some pictures below.
