That this is #7/500 would indicate that the print was either presented or sold to a close friend of the artist. Because it was printed on "coated stock" the ink tends to lay atop the paper - making sunlight the enemy and causing the coloration to go to purple when displayed in or near natural light over time. I believe that the original painting was purchased by either Ted Turner or Alan Bond, though I am not certain at this writing. - Peter Soldwedel
