beauiful washstand

Description wash stand with mirror and 2 candle holders on the sides. towel racks and bowl and pitcher complete the center. the legs are spiral cut and it has a small round shelf at the bottom.

History my grandmothers, and her mothers and her mothers... the bowl and pitcher are the originals as well. beautiful piece

Your images are too unclear to determine much, but from what I can see it looks very much like the reproductions that have been sold since the 1980's. Nearly all wash basin sets were marked in some way on the base of the bowl or jug, many of the repros have removable foil labels. If you could provide better images I'll give it another look.

ok.. i will do that-- as far as the markings, the only marking is on the bottom of the bowl- its carved and hard to make out the letters. i will get a picture of that too. the stand hasn't any markings and i have looked everywhere on it. thank you- i appreciate your help!!

For pieces with imprinted marks it sometimes helps to make "a rubbing" Just put a piece of paper over the mark and rub over the paper lightly with a pencil, the writing will show up as light and dark areas, making it much easier to read.
