Description Very old antique oil painting of boats in distress on the ocean. Very thin canvas with some tears. No signature on painting. Markings on 2 Tags on back of wood; one reads: Bourlet & Sons, Ltd. Fine Art, Frame Makers A3487. The other tag reads: M.E.E. Schillay 2057 (could be the buyers name...not sure). The canvas has some markings on the back but I can not make out the lettering.

Paintings really need to be physically examination by a specialist to determine their origins and authenticity. I'd suggest contacting sotheby's, christies's or bonham's.
