Description

The porcelain egg is a Franklin Mint discontinued collection item. The gold painted butterfly at top of egg turns for the music. Gold plated lines decorate the egg with elegance as well as butterflies and sunshines. There are also synthetic diamonds in a row lined across the top of egg. The carousel horse inside the cut out egg is attached to a gold plated pole to create the illusion of carouseling. Velvet is inlayed within the top and bottom portions of the inside of egg. The egg is attached to a gold painted base stand with velvet foot pads to keep from scratching surfaces.

Franklin mint items are often sold with the inference that they will become valuable collectors items down the road and increase in value over time. Sadly that is not the case, most such items have not even maintained their original retail 30 years after they were issued. I've often seen these Franklin Mint eggs sell for under $20.00 at auction.
