appears to be embossed leather cover with brass closure...the title page says "What the Seasons Whisper"...on the following pages are poems of the seasons with colorful pictures and cut outs for different sized photos...music box is in the back cover under a glass...there are no author or printer information anywhere...there is a marking of made in france on the music box workings itself...there is a key in with the music box that comes out to wind the box on the back of the book....there are 4 brass fixtures for legs on the back as well...music box works perfectly...pages are in good condition with out tears or markings...the binding is worn and tattered but the front and back covers are almost perfect...the color in the pictures(paintings) is perfect almost like new
