antique chair

Description

I think this is a mahogony chair. My husband thinks it's rosewood. It has ball and talon feet in the front- bronze as I was once told. Beautifully carved all over. Not the original fabric.

It dates from the turn of the 19th century, all the carving is actually machine made on a special wood lathe. Armchairs like this sell for about $150.00 at auction.
