Trompe I'oeil-surrealistic expressions

Description

To quote an arts professor to whom I had sent photos of these two pieces "The pieces are indeed wonderful and appear surrealistic expressions and celebration of a young persons life cycle through their death.  A great deal of time was devoted to including highly symbolic images in a well executed chronology. "  The details are somehow lost in the photos...the work is very finely detailed.  Others have seen it as being a wonderful example of 'Trompe I'oeil'...some debate the use of this description.  These are two softwood boards that have no evidence of ever being hung, no markings at all on the back....only an artists name that cannot be traced by conventional means.
