1948 Singer Sewing Machine Model 128

Description

I have what appears to be all of the different feet.  When plugged in and the foot pedal is pushed the machine wants to go (you can hear it whir), however it doesn't move the needle as it should.  If you turn the not, as you would  a hand crank, it will raise and lower the needle.  Wooden portion of base is broken (that's the part that is in poor condition).  It does not appear that it has been used in some time.
