Gendron Wheel Chair

Description

Back, seat, arms and foot rest are all made of wood. There are two large wheels on each side and a small wheel in the back for turning the chair. There is hard rubber on each wheel.

Did you find anything out about this chair? I just bought a place and found one identical to this one but has a different catalog number

Wheel chairs like this were made from about 1890 right into the 1930's until the more modern all metal chairs replaced them in most institutional settings. Most today end up as movie and theater props with limited value, we've often sold them for about $150.00 or less.
