Very early white clay ceramic marked made in japan Could be the earliest majolica made in japan

Appraisal complete
Description

Because it is divided inside the bowl, I believe it must have had a cover, but we do not have a cover. Looks like a white porcelain or clay of some kind, Raised Cherubs around the entire bowl. Someone is suggesting to me it is a very early piece of Japanese Majolica? I know nothing about this item. It is very different and it is very old. The mark on bottom in dark blue ink simply says MadeinJapan.
